Noun; “The occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way.”
Just occasionally I have time to walk back to Waterloo along the Thames Path from my fluorescent-lit cell office in Southwark. Since starting the Foundation course I also take my compact Canon camera with me should an opportunity present itself.
Wednesday evening was dark and bitterly cold, with an icy wind blowing down the Thames. At the Southbank Centre – one of my favourite locations – there is a bar with large windows and interesting lighting. I’ve taken quite a few shots of this, but none has really worked to my satisfaction and so here I am again.
This time someone walked into the scene in an interesting way. This time three people apparently on their own stared into the distance. This time a guy in an orange sweater said something that seemed to shock his companions. All this happened just as I pressed the shutter button with a frozen finger.
It just goes to show that if you find an interesting stage it’s worth going back time and time again.
Absolutely agree about revisiting . Love this shot.
